Bases

Bases are pieces that accompany upright memorials.

The upright memorial and vases are placed on top of the base.  There are three types of bases: Polished Face Top (PFT), Polished Margin (the top portion of the sides of the base are polished with the balance rock pitched, and Polished Beveled Face bases which have a beveled face that is polished and can be engraved with endearments.
